Tutoring & Advising

The role of all faculty and staff is to be of service to the students as role-models and supporters. Although this does not take the form of formal counseling, staff and faculty take an active role in supporting students' academic and personal goals. Faculty members serve as faculty advisors to students, addressing both academic and nonacademic concerns and directing students to appropriate personnel for more assistance.

Formalized counseling regarding school policies and regulations is provided by the
Director of Day Students Counseling and support Services, the Evening Program Coordinator and the Assistant Evening Program Coordinator.

For counseling of a more personal nature, these individuals and faculty refer students to the Director of Accreditation and Instructional Quality. She provides referrals to outside agencies and counselors as appropriate. Students are encouraged to seek out help on an as needed basis.
