A Key Difference at COT

We believe that business and computer education are intertwined, and our unique training reflects this. This is why the program is called, "Microcomputer Business Systems." In the first hour, students may learn business concepts, and in the second hour, they may receive hands-on training with computers. As a result of this combined education, students have a wide range of talents that make them more prepared for success in the business world.

Furthermore, our instructors are completely dedicated to every student's success. This can be seen in many ways, including the extra assistance the instructors provide.

Who Should Pursue a Career in Office Administration?

If a person feels he or she is ready to work at a desk, that person should consider business training. The right person for business is an imaginative thinker, because today's business world is constantly changing. Companies need people who can develop new processes that help the operation make progress.

Also, an organized person would like being in the business world, because this world likes prepared people.

In addition, the right person is self-motivated, because most companies don't have the time and resources to provide much supervision. A great employee does quality work without needing a supervisor there all the time.

Furthermore, the right person for office admin training enjoys being a part of a group -- and helping others. On a winning team, there is a lot of cooperation and togetherness, and a highly cooperative person is welcome.

Excellent Office Administration and Business Instruction

At COT, our instructors have decades of experience teaching business and computer subjects, and much of that comes from the real world - the same business world that the graduates can move into.

All the credits earned for the diploma are applicable toward the college's Associate of Applied Science Degree.

Students who successfully complete the diploma program may qualify for entry-level positions in financial or business information system industries. With extensive hands-on practice throughout the sequence, students learn to manipulate complex software packages as well as study business organization and accounting using QuickBooks software.
