A student completing this diploma program should be well versed in a variety of computer network administration, keyboarding and software/hardware installation and manipulation skills, as well as computer repair and maintenance. He or she should be able to install, manage, and troubleshoot network systems.

Computer networking is the virtual connection of at least two computers, ranging from the use of LAN cords to blue tooth technology to the internet. Computer network experts are able to connect, manage, and troubleshoot a network of computers. The College of Office Technology provides students with a program designed specifically for these qualifications, allowing graduates opportunities in the careers of computer technology support in banking, public utilities, retail, health care, manufacturing, and transportation. The skills taught allow for expertise in network administration, software/hardware installation and manipulation, keyboarding, computer repair maintenance, and installing, managing, and troubleshooting network systems. This program will prepare students for A+ certification.

Computer Network Technology Diploma (60 credit hours)

To receive the Diploma in Computer Network Technology, a student must successfully complete (D or better) 60 credit hours of core and general education curricula and have a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or better.
