Additional Admissions Requirements

In addition to regular admissions requirements, students seeking enrollment in the Medical Assisting, Phlebotomy Specialization, or Nursing Care Technician Programs must meet the addition admissions requirements as outlined below.

Medical Assisting

• Complete questionnaire / interview.
• Must have a Physical Exam and TB test prior to starting classes as well as the first shot of the Hepatitis B series of immunizations.

Phlebotomy Specialization

• Complete questionnaire / interview.
• Complete the COT Medical Office Assistant program or a similar program from another accredited College or the equivalent and academic experience as determined by an admissions review committee.
• Must have a Physical Exam and TB test prior to starting classes as well as the first shot of the Hepatitis B series of immunizations.

Nursing Care Technician

• Submit to a criminal background check at the applicant's expense.
• Must have a Physical Exam and TB test prior to the end of the first quarter as well as the first shot of the Hepatitis B series of immunizations.
